Welcome to Jubilee

Jubilee exists because of the goodness of God and the faith of people like you. Thank you for supporting our ministry here!

We livestream worship at 9:30am CST on Sunday mornings, and the videos remain online afterwards. We are grateful to worship with you!

F.A.Q.s

Are you REALLY LGBTQIA+ affirming?

Yes. We believe all people are made in the image of God and it is our primary call as Christians to walk in God’s love for us, for our neighbors, and for God. LGBTQIA+ people can and do lead as clergy and laity in our church, and we do same-gender weddings.

What is an “Episcopal” Church?

We are part of an ancient faith with a worship style and format that dates back to Scripture.

We celebrate Holy Eucharist nearly every Sunday, we chant, we swing incense, our clergy wear old vestments (garments to indicate our role in glorifying God as leaders amongst the people) and at the same time, the laity (people who are not pastors) have active, vital roles leading worship and the church community.

Our worship comes from the Book of Common Prayer. If you have never heard of an Episcopal Church, you can learn more here.

As the official Episcopal website says: “We are a thoughtful church, rooted in the truth of Scripture, tradition, and reason. We are an inclusive church, welcoming all who seek to know and walk in the way of Jesus Christ. We are a hopeful church, always looking for signs of God’s redeeming love at work so that we might participate in it.”

You can read more of what you can expect on a Sunday morning at Jubilee here. But we promise: you will not feel weird or out of place with us. We genuinely have saved a seat for you, and 75% of our congregation did not come from an Episcopal or other liturgical expression of Christianity before worshipping here. Which means we’re really excited to help you get acquainted with this ancient way of following Jesus, still relevant in the modern world.

What about kids? Are they welcome in church? How do you keep them safe?

We cherish childlike wonder in all people of all ages, and especially lift up littles at Jubilee. On any given Sunday, children under 10 make up 25 - 50% of our congregation! So please bring your kiddos! There’s more info here on what to expect in worship.

We take the safety of all vulnerable people, children and adults included, with utmost solemnity. In the Episcopal Diocese of Texas, we follow these safeguarding protocols that include background checks for all employees and volunteers, protocols to ensure 2 non-related adults are with children at all times, and to create a culture of consent and compassion.
